AA/FA WEEKEND OVERVIEW unlike the Heritage classes, no times were given
for the fuel altererds online. They will be presented
as they ran beginning on Saturday.
The fan favorite AA/FA cars were
booked in show, not part of the Heritage Series program. Eight
cars in a Chicago style elimination format. Their first shot
at the track came on Saturday after FC Q3 and led off by pair
of T's, James Generalao Jr. in the 'Impatient" and Johnny
West in Plan "A".

Next we had Kyle Hough at the
wheel of "Nanook" and Tom Padilla driving his "Red
Dragon" entry.

A pair of BBC powered cars were
next, "High Heaven" had Shawn Callen in the seat while
Jeff Bennett piloted the "Pure Heaven II" Bantam.
Another fan favorite was the
legendary "Pure Hell" with Brian Hope pushing the pedals.
In the other lane was Dylan Winefsky in the "Chuck's Speed
Center" transformer.

The final pair was notable for
so many reasons. Over the decades Ron Hope has thrilled fans
all over the globe in his one and only, "Rat Trap".
Notable you say? This event was Ron's Swan Song, his last time
herding his baby down a quarter mile. He announced his retirement
earlier this season and per announcements during the recent PRI
show, this was a wrap. Hie reign may be over but the Rat Trap
legacy will live on with"the kids".

As one AA/FA legend hangs up
the reigns, another is contemplating it. In the other lane was
the only true peer Hope has left, Randy Bradford. These two have
been locking horns for over 5 decades. Randy has also appeared
on the international stage. Their paths where drastically different
but both keep landing in the same pond. Bradford, at this point,
will be back in 2023. But at the 2022 CHRR they were once again
facing each other for the fans.
As he normally does,
Rodney Flournoy chose to go last, a single is preferred.
