Top Fuel Round 2 - Funny Car Round 3 - AA/FA Rounds 1 & 2

First pair out to set the final was Jim Murphy and Bret Williamson.

 

 

 

 

 

Murphy was away first and Williamson went into tire smoke before the ass end crossed the start line.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Murphy moved into the finals with a piston eating 5.78 at just 220.76.

The only question left was who would meet Murphy for the money. Mendy Fry or Pete Wittenberg

 

 

 

Wittenberg got the jump on the line but Fry made it up by the 60' mark.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wittenberg was done by half track.

 

 

 

 

 

Fry moved to the final with a 5.783 at only 220.76.

SEMI FINALS

 

First pair to determine the final were Kris Krabill and Jason Rupert.

 

 

 

 

 

Rupert left first but rattled the tires before the 60' mark.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Krabill legged it to a 5.742 at 244.47 to move on to the final.

Ryan Hodgson and Mike McIntire were paired to see who would race Krabill.

 

 

 

 

 

Hodgson left first, McIntire gave chase.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hodgson kept the lead and won with a 5.718 at 251.06. McIntire didn't give up but his 5.838 at 252.66 fell short.

ROUND ONE OF ELIMINATIONS

 

The first pair out was Brian Hall and Dan Hix.

 

 

 

 

Both drivers left together, both had triple digit RT's.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Keeping in mind the class is running on a 6.00 index, a 5.944 by Hix was way too quick giving the win to Hall who ran a 7.553.

Next up was James Generalao Jr. and James Valencia.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This was all Generalao, who carded a 6.208 for the win. Valencia recorded a 6.621.

Pair three featured Rodney Flournoy and Rob Winefsky.

 

Flournoy left first and never looked back.

 

 

 

 

 

Flournoy moved on with a 6.515.

Final pair was Keith Wilson and Nick Davies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Both cars left together.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wilson took the win with the closest time to the index of the round, a 6.132.

ROUND TWO OF ELIMINATIONS

 

First pair up to set the final were Brian Hall and Keith Wilson.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wilson got there first but was too quick. His 5.726 handed the win to Hall who also broke out, just not as bad with a 5.987.

Paired to see who'd meet Hall in the final were James Generalao Jr. and Rodney Flournoy.

 

 

 

Generalao got the jump and never never looked back.

All the nitro finals were set except for one thing... the rains came. Everyone left and would have to return on Monday.
