Cars
Four Funny cars
were booked in for a round robin exhibition. There was Jon Capps
in Frank Ousley’s “Crop Duster”, Bazz Young in
his Camaro, Wayne Mellinger driving the Candies Family Motorsport
'Cuda and Troy Ray's Charger.
With no run sheets
provided, Young won his first two races with Capps and Ray before
falling to Mellinger in the final 6.265 to a 6.145.

Finals
John Gray won
the Geezer Gassers class with a 11.665 at 94.43 over Bill Sworm's
10.473 at 126.99 .
Chad Mahlosky
took his Chevy II to the Top Stock Eliminator crown by defeating
Roy Dean who red lighted.
Chad Mahlosky
(stiill waiting on the tree) drove around Roy Dean to win Top
Stock Eliminator 11.459 to 100.35 beat 13.435 at 96.48.
After seven rounds
of racing, Terry Lindsey took home the Hot Rod Eliminator trophy
with a 9.432 at 123.44.
Buddy Wray took
his Chevy II into the winners circle with a 9.500 at 123.76 defeating
Dan Hobbs and his blown T-Bird for the Gas Eliminator crown.
9.500 at 123.76 bettered a 8.514 at 155.33.
Micky Hale got
the best of Jeff Cryan in the AA/Gas Supercharged final (1/8
mile). His 5.489 at 120.57 beat a 5.513 119.61.
Mike Moss took
the popular Nostalgia Super Stock class over Rocky Bellino. Moss'
427 Chevy carded a 10.068 124.49 to Bellino's 10.458 132.87.
Don Nave defeated
Troy Wilson in Comp Eliminator. His 8.525 at 154.83 handled a
8.967 at 142.43.
Ross Laird took
his dragster to the win in 7.5 PRO over Wayne Sears and his Super
Mouse altered. 7.487 at 175.59 over a 7.467 at 172.39.
Ken Hawkins ran
a 7.291 at 182.06 to get the best of Steve Dunklin (7.388 179.76)
for the Jr. Fuel title.
Michael Sexton
took home the Wally in A Fuel by defeating Mike Smith who broke
out. His 7.023 at 23 191.08 beat the too quick 6.965 at 184.55.
OTHER CARS
There were also
two booked in AA/FA - Ron Hope in The Rat Trap and Randy Bradford.
Both put on a great show.
Larry
Dixon Sr. was out with his radical street/race roadster.
Bruce
Larson's USA-1 was another of the booked in exhibition cars.
